More and more people are finding success working online. Leaving their day jobs and finding freedom from the office, the daily commute, having to listen to supervisors, etc. I’ve done it and have never looked back. You can read more about my story in my bio.

Maybe you know someone who has become a successful internet marketer, or perhaps you’ve read something online that piqued your interest. Whatever your reason for landing here, know that there are many ways you can make money online.

The great thing about building an online business today is that there are so many successful people out there teaching it. Unfortunately there are a lot of scams out there too so you have to be careful about who you listen to. A good start is someone like Aidan Booth who has diversified his success in 6 different areas, you can go here to read more.

Here are six lucrative ways you can earn an income online that you don’t want to overlook.

1. E-Commerce

Another lucrative area of online marketing you might want to jump into is eCommerce. In 2018 there was 2.84 trillion dollars of retails sales made online, that’s more than $1.2 million every 30 seconds. Time to grab a piece of that pie. You don’t just have to sell a physical product; you can also make money selling apps, e-products, and even websites.

Read The Kibo Code Eclipse review I wrote if you want to learn about e-commerce training that is different from everything else out there. If you are sick of hearing about Amazon and the need to have inventory they this might be the one for you. Steven Clayton and Aidan Booth’s products will save you time, money and energy in trying to find local businesses that want to work with you.

Marketplaces You Want To Get In On

As you know, Amazon is a major marketplace and one of the world’s most visited websites, offering millions of products. Anyone selling almost anything can make money on Amazon.

Don’t forget about eBay, which has been one of the largest marketplaces since 1995, or Google Shopping, since Google practically owns the web. There’s also Etsy, eBid, Shopify Exchange, Flippa, Craigslist, Bonanza, Kijiji, Niche-Specific sites, and so many more.

Start Your Own eCommerce Store

Eliminate the competition by selling in your own store. Save physical storefront costs and dominate your niche. This really is the ultimate choice for building your own eCommerce business and increasing your profits.

Slower to get started (you’ll have to rank your site and generate traffic) but a long term investment with less competition, no fees, and repeat customers. Establish your own brand and run your own online store.

2. Niche Websites

Everyone is searching for information online these days and that number is only going to grow. If you can get your information in front of them you can make a lot of money. Or you can advertise someone else’s information (product) and if someone buys it you earn a commission. This ties into #4 affiliate marketing but I thought it deserved it’s own mention.

Adam Short

When I think about niche marketing Adam Short comes to mind. He is an expert at building little websites in small but profitable  markets that go onto generate income for years on autopilot.

A lot of people like going down this route because you can build websites around your passions and make money from it. If you want to learn how to make a passive income from niche websites then I recommend you read more about Adam Short’s Niche Profit Fast Track review and bonus here. Adam’s training program is only available until December 19, 2019 so don’t wait.

3. Amazon Kindle Publishing

Publishing ebooks on Kindle is still very lucrative going into 2020. This is one of the more straight forward business models you will find when it comes to making online.

You can read my page on Ty Cohen: Kindle Cash Flow review and bonus 2020 to learn about a 3 step model that teaches you how to make money with Kindle without doing any writing yourself.

4. Local SEO Marketing

Businesses know they need websites and social media but they often don’t know how to build them or use their online presence effectively, never mind doing their own SEO. This creates a huge opportunity for you.

There is a ton of money to be made as an expert in SEO for local businesses. Nobody else understands it but they all need it! I’ve been taking on local clients for several years now with sites in real estate, home maintenance, accountants and other services, the opportunities are endless.

5. Affiliate Marketing

You have probably bought products online through affiliate links at least a dozen times already, sometimes without even knowing it. Affiliate marketing (where you make a commission off a sale of someone else’s product) is a quick way to make an income online. With a low overhead to start it’s easy way to bring in a profit and scale up your business. The best person to learn affiliate marketing from right now is Gerry Cramer, read my Healthy Commissions Review.

5 Keys Things to Consider

1. Find a small niche. You’re never going to be able to rank a website in “weight loss products” or “dating.” Find a sub-niche (like the Paleo diet or Green Juice Cleanse) with low competition so you can get visitors to your site, dominate the first page, build your lists, and most importantly make sales!

2. Find products with high sales. Number of reviews of a product will give you an idea of how many sales they’re getting. Some figures show 1% of all sales give reviews. Many individual affiliate programs provide the number of weekly sales they get on their items. There’s no point being an affiliate for a product that only makes one sale a month (unless it’s an expensive product).

3. There are many proven systems from highly successful marketers. Find someone you trust and follow his or her methods to start. You’ll get lost in the web trying to learn SEO, copywriting, landing pages, and affiliate marketing. Start making money then expand your knowledge.

4. Start simply, and then jump out on your own. I was sucked into several scams when I started. You can find reputable training programs on this site, many I’ve personally used. I also tried to do too much at once. Keep it simple!

5. Consider products with rebills. Many people pay monthly for subscriptions, memberships, apps, courses, etc.; like meditation, photography courses, ancestry, weight loss or workout programs. This is a great way to get monthly income without doing anything after the first sale.

You can sell affiliate products through social media, your own websites, your email lists, etc. There are so many affiliate programs out there and products to sell. Lots of companies are very good to affiliates due to the mutual benefits. Lots of opportunities for you; now get started.

6. Authority Training or Coaching

Do you have expertise you can offer others? Do you enjoy working with people and helping them to reach their goals and improve their lives?

Everything is teachable and the internet makes it easier to reach people looking for the skills you have to offer. You can run your own training programs, one on one coaching, or memberships through your own website and brand, and have affiliates who help sell your product for you.

If this seems the right path for you then check out Teachable, a reputable program that has everything you need to create and start selling your online course. They help you with creating and customizing your own training program, learning tools, building a site, marketing, and analytics to see how your students and your sales are doing.

7. Email Marketing

Email marketing can be one of the quickest ways to make money online. When I think about email marketing two things come to mind. Anik Singal because I have learned so much about it from him. You can read my Inbox Blueprint review to learn more about his training.

If you are looking to gain financial freedom and get out of the rat race the internet might just be the answer you are looking for.

Where to Start

But where to start with so many people claiming they will teach you how to make millions.

It’s important to learn from the right people or you will end up wasting your time and money.

Here are 7 steps to earning $10K per month on the internet from home or anywhere in the world.

1. Choose a Profitable Niche

profitable nichesYou can either sell physical products, digital products or affiliate products.

Some profitable niches that internet millionaire Mark Ling is in that are pure gold: Health, Wealth, Relationships, Mindset, Personal Development, Alternative Beliefs, One Problem – One Solution, Hobbies and Passion.

Mark stresses how important it is to pick something that you are passionate about. A big tip if you choose to promote a physical product is that you can sell a digital product on the back end, either your own or as an affiliate. If you are wondering how to do this I recommend you check out Learn Build Earn.

Learn Build Earn Review

learn build earn review 2017Learn Build Earn 2017 is Mark Ling’s over the shoulder step by step blueprint to making money online. You can create your own “money magnet” website by simply looking over Mark’s shoulder as you copy his step by step blueprint. You can see exactly what he is doing from start to finish.

Learn Build Earn (LBE) includes complete training on how to sell physical products with drop shipping (no inventory), how to make money with digital products and how to make money as an affiliate marketer. LBE also comes with done for you resources, all the traffic techniques you need, and private coaching and support.

2. Market Research

market researchIn order to be successful in any market you have to find out what’s happening in your niche and what people care about. This will allow you to show your market the benefits that your product will give them. It can’t be benefits you think your market wants it has to be what your market desires.

If you are researching physical products it’s important to order product samples. Before you do this though it’s really important to understand what people want and what they are buying.

Go Where They Go

Find out what the markets wants, visit forums, look at the comments/reviews on amazon from people who have already bought products, what do people say that negative about the products.

Doing a little bit of market research the right way following the tips that Mark Ling teaches in Learn Build Earn you end up finding out what people really want. If you are covering the things people want they are much more likely to buy what your selling.

You don’t have to sell high ticket items you can go smaller and sell something thats 7 dollars. For example a product about the top 6 ways to stop dogs from chewing. It can be only 7 pages long, it doesn’t have to be a long book.

3. Find a Offer

find offerFind a offer or suitable product to promote that other people are already making money from.

Or you can get your own product created or get a free report written on your niche topic.

freelancerIf the idea of creating a product overwhelms you don’t worry you’re not alone. You can get an experienced freelancer to create your product for you.

If you want to sell physical products you can use drop shipping and you don’t have to worry about creating the product because someone else already has. You can let other people to do all the work for you.

6. Income Multiplier

In order to multiply your income you will have to add at least one of the following:

  • income multiplierUpsells

    • You can sell coaching programs, live virtual events and live real events

7. Quick & Easy Traffic to Drive to it

trafficBorrow traffic by having other people promote your products or you can buy targeting traffic from places like Facebook, Google, Youtube etc.

As we have mentioned before, ensuring that you are marketing correctly makes all the difference between a successful business and one that fails within a few months.

While there are many different strategies to ensure that you are drawing in your audience, the best way to ensure that you have your users attention is through their email.

Why You Need An Email List

Email lists are the lifeblood of your marketing strategy, offering you a way to stay in direct communication with your followers, increase sales conversion, and develop loyal followers to your brand or business.

Any good marketer will have multiple lists that are broken down into different categories, but you will only get those contacts if you have visitors opting-in to your email list.

Don’t Buy Your List

While some new marketers decide to purchase such lists, we suggest that you stay away from that strategy, as it is not a reliable method of gathering information. Many people have purchased lists only to find that over 60% of the information was outdated.

don't buy email listIt’s also often full of incomplete data, makes you look like a spammer, and can get you into legal trouble.

We suggest that you work on ensuring that your visitors opt-in, which means you need a strong marketing strategy.

9 Ways to Increase Your Opt-Ins

Here are some of our best tips to ensure that you are getting a high flow of opt ins.

1. Always Offer Quality Content

more optinsThis should be understood, but it is always good to be reminded that you need to ensure that your content is high quality.

If you are sending them duplicate content, poor quality content, post sporadically or are boring, people won’t sign up or will unsubscribe very quickly.

It is integral to your success that you have quality content that draws your users in, and makes them want to come back for more. Everyone’s looking for opt-ins, so what makes your content better?

2. Offer Incentives

offer incentivesA great way to get email subscriptions is to offer your readers something that they want in return. People respond positively with offers of e-books or free guides, although it can be better if you provide them with a service such as video tutorials or free courses.

Some will even offer a five percent discount on merchandise or products they sell or limited time offers. Whatever you offer, make sure it is interesting and relevant.

3. Use Pop Ups and Overlays

While pop ups may drive many of us crazy, they are effective at grabbing a reader’s attention and will prevent people from leaving your site before giving you their information.

Use a catchy form with a red button (this converts the best) and ensure that it is well timed with a five-second delay for the best results.

Exit pop ups and scroll pop ups are popular method that brings in results but limit your pop ups or you will aggravate your customers and come off as spam.

4. Provide Sign Up Opportunities

Offer multiple changes to sign up, but once again, make sure that you are not laying it on too heavy. You have to find a good balance so that your marketing doesn’t overwhelm your visitors. Readers may only look at a widget, image, or pop up for a few seconds.

According to millionaire marketer Anik Singal, readers have to be presented with your info several times before they make the decision to commit. Give them those opportunities on your site.

5. Give Specific Bonuses or Prizes

Offering bonuses at the end of specific posts is a tried and true method that helps to encourage people to opt in to your email lists. Prizes from surveys or challenges also will help people to stay interested and engaged in your platform.

Make sure the bonuses and prizes are unique, relevant to the page or site, and don’t forget to change them from time to time. Why does your reader want your bonus and not someone else’s with a similar site?

6. Use Active Text

The best words you can use to get traffic to respond to your call to action are active text. Words like “watch this video,” “download this e-book,” “register and download,” Etc. Tell your readers exactly what you want them to do.

7. Opt-ins Through Social Media

Social media is incredibly important to your success, with fans and followers monitoring your social presence and Google using it to determine your ranking. Make sure to use it to gain site traffic and email subscriptions by adding sign up links on all of your platforms so that new users have an easy way to become a member.

Send meaningful automated direct messages to new followers (there are free tools for this), and offer prizes, bonuses, and incentives through your social media accounts as well.

8. Add A Hello Bar

Hello Bars are free and available in most themes. They offer a prominent call to action at the top of your page for everyone to see. They are nicely designed but not spammy, grab your reader’s attention, and are displayed across all your pages and posts to reach the widest audience.

9. Sticky Widget

This plugin inserts itself in the white space on right side of website, on all pages and posts so that your reader will always be able to see it. You can design it to scroll down with the visitor to get more attention and subscriptions.

Starting a blog may seem a little overwhelming for the newbie, but it really isn’t that difficult to get up and running. There are many platforms that can help get you started – such as Blogger and WordPress.

Both have helpful templates for you to start with and there are countless videos on YouTube to walk you through the start-up process. The difficult part is attracting readers to your blog on a consistent basis.

magic pill successIs there a magic pill for success? No, there isn’t. It’s going to take lots of effort, but with a little perseverance and the right approach you can create a successful blog that will attract readers and keep them coming back for more!

Here are ten tips to help move your blog in the right direction.

 1. Create a Strong Social Media Presence

Social media is all around us these days. Many of us use Facebook on a daily basis, and quite a few of us are familiar with Twitter as well.

Let’s not forget about Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google+.

Why not use those personal networks to help get your blog off and running?

social media icons

A blog is not like a traditional website – it’s much more interactive. A successful blog is very much like a mini-community, which is exactly what social media is.

Don’t be shy; share your blog posts with your friends each and every time you write a new posts. You’re bound to get a few visitors.

2. Get Involved in the Blogging Community

blogging communityThe “Blogosphere” really is a community of like-minded individuals, and there are sites that are specifically geared towards helping you gain exposure within the blogging community.

Two of the best sites in this niche are Bloglovin, and Triberr.

Both communities allow you to share your blog posts, and encourage others to share your posts as well. These are places where bloggers can help other bloggers.

3. Create Quality Content

Seems simple enough, but how many blog posts have you read that left you wondering what exactly the point was? If you write a blog post filled with broken English, poor spelling, and weak arguments how many people do you think will come back to read your next post? You’ll want to make it interesting.

Break up your content with headings where appropriate, use pictures to illustrate your points and bullets and lists to spice things up. Remember, there’s a heck of a lot of content you’re competing with.

Recognize that your reader’s time is valuable; by including these things you’ll make your blog stand out from the average run of the mill blog.

4. Use Pingler to Distribute Posts

pinglerThis is one suggestion that’s probably not as well known for attracting readers to a blog.

Pingler offers a free service that will help you distribute your site to the search engines and News Reader sites.

You simply go to pingler.com, submit the URL of your latest post, and Pingler does the rest! If you want to people to find your posts when performing a Google search, this is a great tool to help you with that.

5. Engage in Reciprocity – Comment on Other Blogs

As we’ve already suggested a successful blog is a community. A great way to help grow your community is to get involved with others in the blogging community.

Search out a few blogs in your niche and start to leave comments on a regular basis. Make sure your comments contribute something valuable to the discussion though.

Simply writing “great post!” at the end of someone’s blog post is not a valuable contribution. Leave a meaningful comment, based on your own feelings about the post, and you’ll be surprised how many people will check out your own blog out of simple curiosity.

6. Post on a Regular Schedule

regular schedule postsIf you’ve ever subscribed to a magazine or a newspaper you’re aware that these publications publish on a regular schedule; whether it be daily, weekly, or monthly.

As a reader you’re familiar with their schedule, and you can be confident new reading material will be available when you expect it to be.

Your blog is no different. You don’t necessarily have to write posts daily, but you should write on a regular schedule that your readers will become familiar with.

If you don’t they won’t know when to stop by for the next article, and if you’re posting schedule is too erratic eventually they’ll give up all together.

7. Clearly Define Your Target Market

your target marketWe can’t be all things to all people. If you try, you’ll probably just end up disappointing most of your readers.

You need to develop a niche for your blog and stick to it. If you write about everything on your blog from accounting tips to knitting needles you will find it difficult to develop a regular audience.

If your audience knows what to expect from you on a consistent basis, they’ll be able to decide if you’re blog is something that really interests them.

Not all of your visitors will want to come back, but if you write good articles, in a clearly defined niche, you’ll eventually develop a loyal following.

8. Always Respond to Comments on Your Posts

Blogs are not just your standard run of the mill websites. Traditional websites present static material that you can read and then move on to something else. That’s it. There’s no opportunity for interaction with the websites author.

Blogs are different. In fact, good blogs become their own little communities. Quite often a successful blog will attract a loyal following of readers that comment on posts on a regular basis.

The author is able to develop a relationship with their followers. If they don’t, chances are they won’t have too many repeat visitors. If you want to grow your blog make sure you respond to all comments whenever possible.

9. Invite Comments from your Posts

As we mentioned above comments are a big part of the blogging community, but there’s more to it than just responding to comments left on your blog. In fact, one of the most frustrating aspects of blogging is figuring out how to get visitors to leave a comment in the first place.

A good way to do this is to actively ask your readers to leave a comment at the end of every blog post. Tell them how much you’d love to hear from them! You’d be surprised how many people are waiting for just such an invitation.

10. Be on the Lookout for Ideas

marketing ideasPerhaps the most difficult aspect of blogging is figuring out what to write about.

Most of us will start out with a lot of ideas, but as you mature as a blogger how do you keep the new material coming?

Always be on the lookout for new ideas. Read other blogs, troll the news for ideas, and be resourceful.

Just remember, you’re using this material as an inspiration. Don’t just regurgitate what others have already written.

Be original, take that idea and make it your own. Give your readers something unique to read. If you’re just repeating what others have already said visitors will soon lose interest in what you have to say.
