How To Use WP Twin
In order to provide the best WP Twin review possible I wanted to show you exactly what you get and how to use it.
I had to move one of my websites to a new hosting company so I will show you step by step how I did it.
Step 1. FTP
1. Use your favorite FTP client to log into your cpanel. After I downloaded WP Twin from the members area I used FileZilla to upload the wptwin.php file to the root of my blog.
Step 2. Go to yourwebsite.com/wptwin.php
If you aren’t logged into your WordPress dashboard you will have to before you can access WP Twin. After you are logged in your will be take to the WP Twin main screen.
By default it only copies WordPress specific folders and files which is great for most users. If you have extra folders for your website you have to check the box “Include Non-Wordpress Folders”.
Be careful about using this option if you have subdomains installed that you really want them backed up too because it will copy everything with this checked.
Step 3. Click Clone
After you click the Clone button you will have a download link for your backup file within minutes depending on how big your website is. Make sure you download the clone file to your computer.
It’s very important to delete the clone file from your server once you have it downloaded to your computer. If you forget to do this someone could find it and have an exact replica of your website. (The file is names something that isn’t easy to guess)
